HART/Beat: The 5 Causes - Exchanging as a Manager in the Arts Industry 續 · 五節課 - 學習、自身、群體與藝術管理

Continuing the topics covered in "The 5 Courses" - Sharing as a Manager in the Arts Industry conducted last year, we would like to re-run the journey to engage interested parties as well as with those who missed the last round of courses. Titling this as The 5 Causes, we expect participants to initiate their own exploration in these topics before and after completion of this co-created experience:

July 3 - Cause ONE: Where’s your passion?
July 10 - Cause TWO: Are you curious enough?
July 17 - Cause THREE: Attitude rules. What's yours?
July 24 - Cause FOUR: On offer - do it in the HART way
July 31 - Cause FIVE: Exchange, engagement and community building

In these classes, we will be discovering with you on topics that we usually touch upon in the pursuit of a profession, in the journey of career development elevating our knowledge, advancing our skills, building our tastes and accumulating experiences. From decoding an email, identifying the when, how and why in making declines, approaches to taste and brand building - to -  establishing sensitivities through research on records management and archives, making of a community-based event, and expectations alignment in communications… We hope to collaborate with you at this occasion to make such an exchange memorable, while more importantly to apply these ‘causes’ to your everyday lives moving forward.

繼上年舉辦《藝術行政的五堂課》,收到的回饋很大部分都是想 HART 更深入的探索藝文生態、行政、溝通技巧、檔案庫、管理、人生規畫、專業、創意工業行情…… 每項獨立或連結起來研究,當然是無止境的。而重點,我們傾向引發你的內在自身發掘,以及大家共同建立的經歷體驗:HART|Beat 每次舉辦都是一個開始和循環。

英文字《Cause》有好幾個中文解釋或演繹,道盡了課堂的精髓:

Course Content 課程內容

July 3 Cause ONE: Where’s your passion?
The start is the beginning of progress - we will look into how people approach art administration and management, and to discover more from failures and unsuccessful cases. We will not only dig deep by analysing job or project applications, but also try to help on identifying your passion and interests. We may as well demonstrate to you how art administrators and managers can be as adventurous as artists.

July 10 Cause TWO: Are you curious enough? 
We will see how you look at curiosity: some say it may help you to get in touch or to initiate contact with one subject matter, a new context or a person, however, for curiosity to work its magic in you for a make-over, you have to learn how to create a sustainable and favourable environment to grow, learn and evolve. 

July 17 Cause THREE: Attitude rules. What’s yours? 
We have been sending out and receiving emails daily, but do we really look at it in an interesting way to learn more about ourselves and gain insights from human behaviours? Paying attention to details is the very essence of becoming a professional. In our everyday virtual encounters, sometimes we forget about the art of the when, how and why of making declines and hesitations.

July 24 Cause FOUR: On offer - do it in the HART way
We’ve been told that this session is really hard and not easy to comprehend, which makes this worthwhile to share with you. We believe in the empowerment of establishing sensitivities through research on records management and archives, which brings good to the art and cultural ecosystem in general.

July 31 Cause FIVE: Exchange, engagement and community building
One of the many ways to sum up - through presenting on how we evaluate the various programmes and activities organised/ hosted by HART, we will share our vision on how a manager should properly be-in-charge, and stay on top and ahead of things. With dedication, everyone could be a leader to inspire and contribute to collaborative spirit and community-building.

7月3日【原/源、因、由】你的熱情歸何處?
是啟始亦是進程,正視自身以往沒有實現到的計畫和探討創意工業內一些還有進步空間的大大小小項目,我們會領略到溝通和做合作時協調期望的技巧。大家不但可以由求職和填寫申請表的生活細節入手開展分享討論,亦可透過跟我們分享藝術管理的點滴,細心發掘你的熱情和興趣。

7月10日【 動機 】你有(足夠的)好奇心嗎?
又是老生常談,但真正要「儲到」好奇心,近乎没有人講過。原來好奇心可以自己製造有效環境氛圍誘發的。學習和發展品味格調的種種,會讓我們一直改進,亦有機會開創不同的社交圈子、歷練和體會。

7月17日【促成、誘發、致使】所謂氣場 - 態度,價值和格調
講講大家的態度,就看到好壞、成敗、高下等等是怎樣建立的。就書寫、寄發和接收電郵這一環,大家不陌生,但箇中的細節,未必有人會詳細探討有關字眼、推辭手法、時間性表述、溝通渠道、觀人於微等等的專業考量。是節大家集中開明的分享,互動學習會更效。

7月24日【事業】【根底、根據、理由】幹活要習氣、累積真憑實據
噢~ 像聖誕節一樣,每件有「來頭」的事或人或各行業,都有其來歷、豐厚檔案或故事。這些人事所引申的題目,都引發每代人的興趣去專注研究,致其得以傳承/流傳 - 藝文生態,都一樣。增強對檔案管理、學術研究、庫藏等等的意識,突破大家看待這些題目時只聯想歷史文化古板的一面,實際上有助我們發展和發揮創意。

7月31日【緣 · 故】學接觸、交流互動,再維繫:重頭嚟一次!
找「啪嗱」(partner)或獨立協作者,當然講緣分和運氣,不合適可以保持距離或不再聯繫。但社群和團體呢?就不太一樣了。很多時講求自省、自動自發、自覺、自信、自詡自嘲和自制- 而同時學習無窮無盡的同理心。感染力人人都能後天尋找和訓練到,但要拿捏自知之明:你在合作和群體中屬於何類人?有沒有努力培育自己發掘?

Medium of Instruction 語言

All classes will be conducted mainly in Cantonese. However, we will conduct the classes in English if there is one or more English-speakers participating.

本課程主要以廣東話教授交流,但若有一位或以上參加者只能夠以英語溝通,該節課將以英文進行。
