Angela Huang 黃濼儀

Hong Kong

Angela is a Hong Kong-based artist whose practice explores personal identity, memory, and lived experience through unconventional materials and deeply autobiographical narratives. Before turning fully to art, she spent a decade working in consulting. In 2025, she made the pivotal decision to leave that career behind and dedicate herself entirely to her artistic practice.

Her recent work draws from her upbringing in Hong Kong and her family’s connection to food culture. She uses wonton noodles as both medium and metaphor—transforming a humble, everyday ingredient into visual compositions. Through these works, noodles become lines, gestures, and symbols of family, culture and continuity. By elevating familiar materials into sculptural and painterly forms, she examines the meaning of personal heritage and belonging in a rapidly changing city.

Angela holds a double major in Art Practice and Economics, and a M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. She also holds a M.A. in Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
